Portlkit lets you create client portals — shareable links that hold a project's milestones, files, messages, and invoice. The free plan includes one active portal with a "Made with Portlkit" badge; paid plans add more portals and white-label options. We may change plan limits with notice; we won't change what you've already paid for mid-cycle.
You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the content you and your clients put into portals. Don't use Portlkit for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful, and don't upload content you don't have the right to share. We can suspend accounts that break these rules.
Portals are protected by private, unguessable links rather than client passwords — like sharing a private document link. Treat the link with the same care as the work itself; anyone who has it can view that portal. You can retire a portal at any time.
Payments run on Stripe Connect: your client pays through the portal and funds settle directly to your connected Stripe account. We never hold your money, and we take no cut of it: your payments carry only Stripe's standard processing fee (currently 2.9% + 30¢ per card transaction in the US) — Portlkit adds nothing on top. Payments are also subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Refunds to your clients are between you and your client; you can issue them from Stripe.
Pro bills monthly. Cancel any time from your billing page, effective at the end of the billing period — no lock-in, no cancellation fee. If you cancel, your portals go read-only so clients keep access to delivered work, and you can export your content.
Founding membership is a one-time payment that includes everything in Pro for the life of the service — no subscription, ever. "For the life of the service" means exactly that: if Portlkit ever shuts down, we'll give you reasonable notice and time to export everything, but a one-time payment can't buy a promise that a service runs forever.
Because portals carry your branding, you're the client-facing party: you're responsible for your own promises and disclosures to your clients about the work and their information.

Pro subscription: cancelling stops future charges; we don't prorate partial months. If a renewal charged you by accident, email us — we're reasonable about it.
Your clients' payments to you are between you and your client — you can issue those refunds directly from your Stripe dashboard.
Portlkit is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it fast, safe, and available, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we're not liable for indirect damages or lost profits. Our total liability is capped at what you've paid us in the last twelve months.
